The season starts in July because during May and June, the snow starts to melt, causing the rivers to swell and fishing in most Rocky Mountain rivers extremely hard. You can catch brown trout and Yellowstone cutthroat with professionals (what a fun job right?) on a stream-side or walking-wading trip!
